Get Involved

Welcome to the SAAC Volunteer Center. You can find a variety of volunteer opportunities that fit your interests, expertise, and/or schedule listed here.

SAAC offers many opportunities for its members to get involved and stay connected with colleagues. Below you will find useful information about volunteering with SAAC.

Who Can Volunteer?

Any member can volunteer with SAAC. It doesn’t matter if you are new to the industry or an industry expert--you can make a difference within our association. Additionally, we encourage SAAC members who have volunteered in the past to apply for current available positions.

What Are the Requirements for Volunteering?

We ask that volunteer applicants be current SAAC members. If you are currently not a member of SAAC, you can become a member today with a few easy clicks.

What is the Time Commitment?

Because our members are busy, SAAC has developed a tier volunteer commitment structure that accommodates our member’s preferred commitment level. We currently have three categories of volunteer opportunities:

  • Term Volunteer Opportunities (1 yr. commitment) Term-based volunteer opportunities are reserved for SAAC committees.
  • Task Volunteer Opportunities (6 - 12 mths. commitment) Task-based volunteer opportunities are usually project specific and typically have a short-term commitment of 6 months to a year.
  • Micro Volunteer Opportunities (1hr. - 6 mths. commitment) Micro volunteer opportunities are easy, quick and low-commitment tasks or projects that allow members to contribute feedback or expertise in small increments that fit their busy schedule. These opportunities usually have a short-term commitment of 1 hr. - 6 months.
