Meetings
General Membership meetings are held in the Spring, Fall and Winter. These dinner meetings are both social and educational. These meetings are excellent opportunities to network with your peers in the industry. Distributors, suppliers, manufacturer representatives and their spouses join us for dinner and our after-dinner presentation which is always an interesting speaker addressing topics pertinent to today's business environment.
In addition to these meetings, there are special events planned throughout the year.
Publications
SAAC Times is distributed ten times a year to the membership. The newsletter along with broadcast fax's promote the upcoming event.
Scholarships
In addition to seminars and other educational activities, SAAC has established a general scholarship fund as well as the Milton H. Musser Scholarship Fund to assist those interested in advanced education. The Marvin Baida Scholarship is also available to anyone new to the industry, with less than two years experience, to assist in career plans.
Many scholarships are provided each year to attend one of the five seminars conducted by PPAI. The scholarship pays all expenses-tuition, meals, housing and round-trip airfare.
Qualified persons from distributorships, direct houses and supplier firms may be nominated for scholarships. Selections are made by a specially appointed committee.
Education Days
To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and the discussion of trends and problems, seminars are held twice each year. There are separate meetings for distributors and suppliers as well as combined seminars for both groups.
Special creative workshops and seminars are also sponsored during the year for the benefit of all specialty advertising people.
Top notch professionals from around the nation are brought in to address SAAC members on current topics, based on a members' survey of interests, making SAAC's Education Days an outstanding opportunity for professional growth.
Special creative workshops and seminars are also sponsored during the year for the benefit of all specialty advertising people. SAAC's concept of "shirt sleeve workshops" allows busy professionals to maximize opportunities to learn while minimizing the time commitment away from work. Scheduled late in the afternoon, usually at 2:00 or 2:30 on the same day and in the same location as the dinner meeting, these 90-minute workshops offer CEU's applicable to both the CAS and MAS curriculum.
Trade Show
SAAC's annual TradeShow has been called "the best regional TradeShow in America" by many in the specialty advertising industry. The show is held each year.
More than 675 suppliers exhibit each year at the SAAC show and nearly 3,000 distributors and sales personnel from all over the country attend each year to see what the industry has to offer.

Educational programs and outstanding entertainment highlight this annual "big event" and there is plenty of time to socialize with colleagues in a festive atmosphere. There is no admission fee for members of SAAC and their sales representatives for the TradeShow. |
